community acupuncture etiquette
Quiet Space - In order to keep the center a quiet, tranquil space for all clients we ask that you:
- Cell phones or any electronic devises are turned off before entering the clinic. ipods are okay, but texting in clinic is not.
- Patients keep their voices down and chitchat to a minimum out of respect to others.
- Participants are expected to respect the privacy and space of others.
Payment
- We accept cash, personal checks, and credit card payments
- Payment is made before each treatment. (This helps us run the clinic more efficiently and allows you to "float out" after your treatment.)
Scheduling Treatments
- Appointments are made online, or before your appointment, by phone, or email.
- Appointments are scheduled before each treatment.
Lateness
Try to arrive 5 minutes early to prepare for your treatment. Be aware that if you are late, it will cut into your treatment time.
Cancellation
We require 24-hours notice to cancel an appointment by phone, or 12 hours through Genbook online. We can accept cancellations by phone, emails. You will be charged $20 for missed appointments without a 24 hour notification.
Refunds
CCA does not offer refunds on treatments or treatment packages. However, treatment packages are transferable.
Wheelchair Access and Other Special Needs
CCA is wheel chair accessible, however, you will need to bring someone with you if you require any type of assistance. Please let us know ahead of your appointment if you need wheelchair access. Those who are deaf, or who's hearing is significantly diminished will need to bring someone to communicate. Those who do not speak English will have to bring a translator. If you cannot bend over to remove socks and shoes, you will need to bring someone in to help you.
Colds, Flu's, and Other Communicable Diseases
Community acupuncture can treat all types of viral diseases, but please do not come to community acupuncture if you have a high fever or are coughing uncontrollably. It is important to think of others that you may infect. We do have herbs to address colds and flu, so send someone down to pick them up, or better yet, buy them ahead of time so that you have them on hand when needed.
